Nigerian Afro-fusion gem, Burna Boy has taken to his social media handle to praise his UK followers after he emerged as the first-ever Nigerian act to gain the 1st spot on the UK album chart with his current album ‘I Told Them’.

The journey he described as “impossible” even slid favorably to the grind of his UK admirers, who have been cheering him on since he accomplished the new achievement.

He was recently presented with a plaque for this achievement, which resulted in a high-profile outcome and joy.

Referring to his UK followers as the pinnacle of his career, Burna Boy expressed his great thanks, claiming that his UK supporters enabled him to achieve what seemed unachievable for a Nigerian act.

His words:

“To all my UK people who have taken this album to #1. I will never stop thanking you. You have made another one of my most impossible dreams come true. I will be going to as many parts of the UK this week to show my appreciation by signing as many albums as I possibly can and holding a little vibe with y’all. I love you very much. Thank you.”

Some Nigerians however didn’t find his view thrilling and heavily lambasted him for snubbing them.
