Cody Gakpo, a star in the Netherlands, has been transferred to Liverpool by Eredivisie powerhouse PSV for a record sum.
Gakpo’s transfer was confirmed by PSV in a statement posted on their website on Tuesday night.
Cody Gakpo’s proposed transfer has been agreed upon by PSV and Liverpool FC.
“The 23-year-old attacker will fly to England shortly to complete the necessary formalities before the transfer is finalized.
“Neither club is releasing any information regarding the transfer fee. Marcel Brands, general manager of PSV, noted that this was a record transfer.
On Boxing Day, the PSV management concluded the talks and authorized Gakpo’s trip to England.
